Request for Proposal (RFP)
Mental Health National Surveys of Children and Youth in Greece, Brazil, South Africa and Mozambique
Submission Deadline: February 21, 2025
The Child Mind Institute (CMI) is an independent non-profit committed to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning conditions. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Child Mind Institute is a center dedicated to enhance mental health care for children and adolescents globally. To make strides towards this mission through an empirically driven approach, the SNF Global Center aims to assess the state of child and adolescent mental health needs in Greece, Brazil, Mozambique, and South Africa.
The SNF Global Center is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to conduct population-based surveys on child and adolescent mental health in each of these countries. Firms can bid on work related to any one or a combination of the four countries. The successful firm, in collaboration with SNF Global Center staff, will design and implement a nationally representative survey of children and youth between the age of 3-24 years old. The SNF Global team has extensive survey methodology expertise in international settings and firms bidding on this proposal need to be willing to work very closely, collaboratively, and transparently with the global team on the design and implementation of the surveys. Services expected under this proposal include overall survey planning and design, sample selection, plan and implementation of cognitive interviews for questionnaire pretesting, questionnaire finalization and programming, interviewing training, pilot testing, field implementation and monitoring, and data processing and weighting, and reporting.
Interested firms may obtain the Request for Proposal with the full specifications and application requirements by emailing Jill Wittrock ([email protected]). Submissions must be sent to [email protected] no later than midnight, Friday, February 21, 2025. Representatives from short-listed firms will need to be available the week of February 24 for an on-site meeting with global team members.
