YES Programme: Experiential Seminars for Secondary Education Teachers

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Initiative (CAMHI), marking the completion of the Youth Engagement Scheme (YES), implemented from 2022 to 2026 with the relevant approvals of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, is organizing, in October 2026, Experiential Seminars for Secondary Education teachers, titled: "Organizing and Facilitating Dialogue Actions for Adolescent Mental Wellbeing at School."

The seminars will run for three hours each, will take place in the 5 cities where CAMHI's Hub Centers are located, and will include both a theoretical and an experiential component. The trainers will be experienced CAMHI members * who designed and implemented the Dialogue Actions within the YES Programme. The seminars aim to present the facilitation methodology of the Dialogue Actions, which has already been applied within the Adolescent Counseling Groups and in collaboration with a large number of schools across Greece. Another aim is to create local networks of teachers who wish to take part, in order to exchange information, experiences and good practices regarding the content and implementation of related actions.

Giorgos Moschos, lawyer, adult educator, honorary doctor of EKPA/Department of Early Childhood Education, Director of the Youth Engagement Scheme (YES)
Savvas Metaxas, sociologist, Coordinator of the Athens Adolescent Counseling Group and Educational Actions
Katerina Pronoiti, political scientist, Head of Administrative Support and Monitoring for the Youth Engagement Scheme

In each city, the coordinator of the local Adolescent Counseling Group will take part in the training, along with the corresponding facilitators and adolescents — former members of that city's groups.

The YES program is implemented in partnership with the Child Mind Institute, with exclusive support from Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) as part of the SNF Global Health Initiative (GHI).
